I used to work in traveling agent. You can check the price on airlines website. Many airlines operate from BKK to FRA. For not much expensive airlines via FRA as Lufhunsa, Emirates, Qatar Airways, Austrain Airlines, Turkish Airlines. Direct flight is too expensive but Lufhansa is okay. You can not fixed with the price because its up to airlines promotion, normally its about 30k.
If you just need a reservation for applying a visa, you can book with any airlines. Your booking is not effect with the airlines, until you paid.

Yes, the embassy will require about round trip flight reservation. Make sure you dont pay anything until the visa has been issued. Because the embassy cant guarantee in case of any delay or visa refused. Also you can booking through an airlines website or traveling agent, no need to pay for flight reservation ka.
